La Chavallera at Krone Hotel - La Punt

Their is a brand new kitchen star in the small village of La Punt! James Baron, the 37 years old chef cook has an impressive interational CV. He worked with Andreas Caminada at Schloss Schauenstein and lately at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong as Chef Cook. In his new role as Chef Cook at La Chavallera he cooks to the highest standards, combining Alpine traditions with contemporary influences. Beside of his mouth wathering dishes at the Gourmet restaurant, you can also find uncomplicated but delicious dishes at the Stüva Restaurant.

So very well deserved:

Stüva Colani Restaurant - Madulain

The restaurant Stüva Colani is led by Chef Paolo Casanova, a former student of the famous chef Massimo Bottura Bologna.

The setting is within a romantic Stüva with wooden tables, authentic floors and a warm and charming light. In the kitchen ,Paolo uses just natural and fresh ingredients from the area and he is growing his own herbs and fermenting. The result are extremly refreshig dishes!

The Krone Hotel has had a revamp! With the new kitchen star in the Engadin, James Baron, it is now a very lively and fresh boutique hotel. The historic building with it's cosy ambience is now known as Krone Säumerei am Inn. Hotel Müller Mountain Lodge - Pontresina

 This romantic boutique hotel is located in the picturesque village of Pontresina just 10 minutes from St. Moritz. Cross Country Lovers  can start into the slopes right from the Pontresina station.  

 

The mountain lodge has a history of over one hundred years. It was opened in 1890 by Jakob Müller, wine merchant, postmaster and hotelier.  In 2005, the hotel was completely renovated.
The interior design is very cosy and with typical alpine timber and wooden floors to guarantee warmth and life.  The dinners at the 3 Stüvas are romantic and the dishes mouthwatering including a very, very professional service. And yes, this is the one and only hotel we have ever been, where the rooms were always cleaned up when we returned from our morning cross country trips!
