Kings Camp - Timbavati Private Nature Reserve

Kings Camp Timbavati Game Reserve was established in 1995 as a premier eco-tourism destination in South Africa. This slice of African paradise was purchased by Joof Alberts, and after a renovation, officially opened its doors in October 1995. Combined with the Kruger National Park, the total area under protection is a mind-boggling 2.2 million hectares of protected African wilderness. It is considered a lesser known private reserve, offering exceptional and highly exclusive game viewing safaris in the Greater Kruger Area. The spacious, open-plan design of the 2 air-conditioned Honeymoon Suites offers an intimate and romantic bush escape.

Our charming hosts Warren & Lisha Moore did everything to make our stay a most memorable one!

If it comes to the cuisine...we totally felt in love with the fantastic food of chef cook Garret....

Immerse yourself in a decadent dining experience while soaking up the stunning views Kings Camp has to offer. From dining in the heart of the bush, in the garden under a knobthorn tree, alongside the swimming pool or overlooking the spot-lit waterhole to indulging in candle-lit fine dining in the elegant dinning room, no meal is the same at Kings Camp. A private romantic dinner on the verandah of your suite with your loved one is the perfect way to end an exhilarating day on Safari.
