• Riquewihr is the perfect base to explore the Christmas markets all over the Upper Rhine valley.
• The Christmas markets and celebrations in Alsace start every year with the first Sunday of Advent. Usually, festivities start on the last weekend of November. This Christmas markets atmosphere will last until beginning of January. 
• The magic of Christmas operates in Colmar at any time of the day but especially at night!
• Do not miss an afternoon at the Chrismas markets in Strasbourg. They are definitely the oldest tradition of Christmas markets in the world and are held since 1570! And definitely make a coffee break at Christians Pâtisserie, probably the best sweet delights in town!

This is a real romantic gem along the Alsacian route de vin.

The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, in a beautifully restored old building. Fantastic bathroom with a large shower. The town Châtenois itself is picturesque, surrounded by hills and vineyards.

At the cosy restaurant we were provided with a romantic dinner table and enjoyed very fine alsatian food, in a nice bubbly atmosphere.
